Erdos at Le Mans Test Weekend

Excellent news all round ahead of this weekend’s Le Mans test. Confirmation came through that Nathan Kinch will be the 3rd driver in the RML MG Lola squad, while recent appointments behind the scenes include three ex-Formula 1 designers and engineers, further strengthening the already impressive credentials of the RML Team.

The best news of all came in late March with confirmation that RML’s application for a place on the grid for this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours had been accepted.Competition for the available places has been increasingly tough in recent years, and despite a pole-setting performance from Erdos at for the 1000 kilometer LMES race at Le Mans last November, there was never any guarantee that the team would be back again this June.

Over recent weeks RML has appointed a number of new and very high-profile personnel to the squad, including former Formula 1 designer Gary Anderson. He will be responsible not only for acting as senior race engineer to the #8 Saleen squad in the FIA GT Championship, but will also be key to the ongoing success of the MG Lola Le Mans project. Joining him is Peter Elleray. As chief designer on the Bentley Speed 8, Peter knows all there is to know about winning at Le Mans, and brings a wealth of experience to RML. Supporting both is newly appointed chief mechanic Michael Jakeman, with F1 experience with Williams, Benetton and Jaguar.
