Getting to grips with one of today’s high performance road cars is more than just a case of slipping in behind the wheel and putting your right foot to the floor. Such cars may offer exhilarating acceleration, tenacious handling, and heart-stopping braking, but they can bite back too. Push too hard, misunderstand the conditions, ill-judge a corner, and even the experienced owner can end up with an insurance right-off.
There is an answer. Two-times Le Mans winner Thomas Erdos offers owners the chance to learn how to handle the horsepower, tame the traction, and get the most out of their cars, safely and with confidence.
We all think we’re good drivers – of course we do – but there’s no substitute for experience. Brazilian-born Tommy has been a professional racing driver for more than 20 years, and he has a string of National, European and World titles behind him. He has won the LMP2 class in the Le Mans 24 Hours twice (2005 & 2006), took the British GT title with an RML Saleen S7R, and claimed the European Le Mans Series title in 2007 and again in 2010.
Throughout most of his career he has also been an instructor, not only teaching other racing drivers how to compete more effectively, but by helping teams and manufacturers to develop and set-up their race cars. Now you can also benefit from his expertise, and it will be a lot cheaper than the cost of repairs if you don’t!
Tommy offers one-to-one tuition to drivers at all levels, from those new to a high performance road car right through to experienced track-day veterans and professionals. His knowledge and skill is exceptional, and he has a canny knack of being able to share that insight with others.
