Taking to the Track

A comprehensive introduction to the racing circuit, extending and enhancing the fundamental concepts of car control, building on the lessons learned on the road, and pushing car and driver to the limits. Drivers will take part in professionally organised and monitored track days at some of the UK’s top motor racing venues, with the unique opportunity of personal tuition from Thomas Erdos. The course will begin with a refresher session covering the essentials of the Bronze package, as appropriate to each driver.

Additional topics covered include:
Oversteer and understeer – maintaining full control of the car at all times; maximising braking potential; effective use of throttle and gearbox; the optimum line and ‘learning’ a circuit; stability and understanding weight distribution; exploiting straights; dealing with traffic and correct track etiquette.

Drivers completing this course, or seeking higher level tuition, move on to the Gold course.
